We came to Tulum for the latter end of our Honeymoon after visiting Las Vegas and doing a US Road Trip. We came for peace and relaxation, and that’s what we got.

Stunning hotel, set on the beach, with individual rooms, and a sea view. Interior was clean, well decorated and spacious

Beach area, lovely. The hotel works hard to keep it clean, it’s also a turtle breeding area, and we had the absolute pleasure of watching one of these magnificent creatures lay her eggs and head off back to the sea – they are then protected to ensure the eggs aren’t disturbed.

The staff is brilliant, special thanks to Humberto, Angel, Aaron, and Poncho who made our stay perfect, and are so friendly and helpful with their sea trek helmet diving cozumel suggestions, they work so hard and are always smiling!

Our favorites were Antojitos de Chiapaneca (al pastor tacos), Sabor de Mar (seafood), Sudeca (Argentinian empanadas), El Camello Jr (seafood), El Capitan (shrimp tacos), and Flor de Michoacán (fruit ice pops). I highly recommend renting a car and exploring the town, cenotes, and Coba ruins!

During the week we were visiting, there was quite a bit of sargassum in the water. From what I understand, this is typical of the Tulum area in the summer. The staff at Rosa del Viento do an excellent job of clearing the sargassum off the beach area.

On the days when there was too much sargassum in the water to swim, the staff directed us to a nearby cenote. Another good reason to have a car! Overall, we enjoyed our time at Rosa del Viento and highly recommended the hotel!
