This resort is a superb value and a fantastic stay in Playa. It’s hugely nicely located a minute in the northwest occupied 5th Avenue (with stores, restaurants, and amusement ), not too far from the Cozumel ferry (20 min walk) and only 3 minutes walk away from the Playa del Carmen public beach. They have a discount for your Mamitas Beach Club that’s very nice.

The entire resort and our room were amazingly accurate in the Spanish hacienda style. Great view from our balcony over the adorable pool with the bridge. Fantastic size room, excellent air conditioning, mini fridge in place along with a safety deposit box. Our only problem was with noise, maybe not so much from the hotel itself but from the bars outside. Not wrong on weeknights, but on Friday and Saturday nights, it can go quite a little later than we’d have liked. The hotel supplied earplugs, but they could just mask so much sound.

Another small thing with the room is like most Mexican hotels, you cannot drink the water out of the sink. That is fine, but the hotel only gave us extremely small water bottles every day, not enough to brush teeth. This wasn’t very good to need to go get extra at the closest OXXO (just two of these close by, fortunately).

The hotel includes a free breakfast that by far exceeded our expectations. That was awesome support. And the staff recommended a cozumel jeep and adventure tour close to the shore. We’ll do that next time!

The pool area was also quite lovely, clean with a couple chaises in the shade. It had been on the small side but never crowded.

This boutique hotel is a half block from Fifth Avenue and only a brief 3-5 minute walk to either a public beach or Mamitas Beach bar that the hotel offers discount tickets to get. The resort is decorated in a Bohemian Chic texture, with brilliant light, inlaid mosaics, and other ornamental tiles and most importantly is clean. Beds while a modest hard were comfortable with clean lines and ample towels provided.

Each room in this hotel has a furnished balcony which overlooks the gardens and pool. Wifi was great, and the free breakfast served each morning was homemade and excellent. The grounds are nicely kept, the team personable, and the area safe. Tourist Police are abundant in Playa giving the overall sense of a safe experience. There are ample flights adjacent to the resort to take you to other parts of the town. However, the area can be totally walkable. This hotel is an oasis in the heart of Playa and as such should afford most laid back and low important travelers a great stay.
